Ugunslietus

Ugunslietus (Firerain) - the second album of Latvian hard rock pioneer Janis Bukums with his eponymous project JANIS BUKUMS.

JANIS BUKUMS worked very diligently to complete this album - only a year passed since the release of their debut album "Alive and Different", which was the herald of the new band and return of Janis Bukums in the active music scene. In contrast, second album Ugunslietus (Firerain) displays the development, power and energy of the band.

Janis Bukums comments: „It is a high quality, conceptually clear and united continuation of our work: empowering an intelligent hard rock or arena rock. Album contains 10 original compositions, as well as continuing our band tradition, one brave cover version of Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars". Album contains patriotic songs about Latvia, rock ballads, stories about life, and one very personal song, that I have carried under my heart for quite some time - it is dedicated to my father. In it I tried to say everything I could not tell him while he was still alive, and I believe that it encompasses everything our men would like to say to their fathers, as well. All in all, this album is the best so far, that we have created! Still our motto is: "Latvia Can!"
