Deep Excavation by Visions of a Nomad showcases a diverse range of unique Compositions ranging from the epic intro piece Something awry, featuring hard hitting Jazz Rock Fusion and Classical influences, to Mirabooka , depicting the story of the southern cross star formation as told by the Aboriginal people of Australia.
Exotic, evocative and mysterious, the didgeridoo plays a main role within the composition , the driving pulse and the haunting vocals of Shannon Ruska singing in Aboriginal language makes for a uniquely Australian flavoured master piece.
Zindzi, another epic Jazz fusion piece takes the listener through a variety of genres and tempo's, the harp and didgeridoo are featured within the piece yet this composition again has a driving force and uniquely Australian flavour but is set in an African 6/8 tempo.
Butterflies depicts a smooth latin rhytms influenced composition taking the listener through a variety of moods, instrumentation and tempo's.
You've been on my back, featuring a vocal track in pop genre.
Only life borders on a contemporary classical ballad yet has a very modern jazzy overtone and driving pulse.
Signs again is an epic piece , jazzy by nature yet ending in a rocky kind of pulse accompanied by the didgeridoo. Deep Excavation is designed to take the listener on an epic journey , expect the unexpected.
