The A.BLACK ALBUM is Adrian Black’s most personal project to date. He shares very intimate ideas about his past, present, and future. For example, in First Person Shooter he shares one of his life’s biggest dissapointments. The A.BLACK ALBUM is where prose meets poetry and intersects with music. You can definitely find the Virginia bounce but unlike his other projects Adrian uses only 2 samples in the entire album. In “Best That I Can” he speaks about what it’s like being a man in today’s day and age and on “Praises” he taps into his gospel roots. On the intro track and Flavor he summons the dreams rap that you know him for. The A.BLACK ALBUM is a true portrait into the life of Adrian Black and it’s filled with openness and tales of personal growth.
