SONG FACTS: ‘21 Grams’ is a song inspired by a study published in
1907 which hypothesized that souls have physical weight.
This concept was embedded in the lyrics written by vocalist Randy V
after the death of a close friend. Randy states, “Too many people
simply get up, work, eat and go back to sleep, thinking of nothing
but the next paycheck. This is a trap that negates the enjoyment
of life. Freedom from this trap comes in the awareness of our
mortality. Remember that each breath is a gift. Respect the,t and
you’re already doing better than yesterday.” The song was recorded
in 432Hz frequency. In 2019, THN recruited Andrew Aubut, a vicious progressive drummer, and hard-hitting Seattle bassist Marty Rubin,
to round out the band's new line-up. ‘21 Grams’, is the first single off
THN’s new upcoming album “Songs of the Dead” slated for a
September, 2020 release.
