TAG EKANG MUSIC... INSTRUMENTAL
François Essindi is an artist in the truest sense of the word.
He plays traditional wind, skin and body stringed instruments.
François Essindi is of Cameroonian origin and initiated into traditional art.
François Essindi is also a luthier, he makes replicas of endangered instruments in his Ekang culture in southern Cameroon, of which we can quote:
• Mvet or Bantou guitar
• Ngomo or traditional harps
• Traditional zithers
• Ngongo which is a Pygmy instrument to appease restless spirits
• Pygmy flutes
• Singing sheet
• Water tank
• Nkul or call tam-tam
• Ngom or long drum
• Djembe
• Snail shell and hazelnut player
• Player of musical stones
• Body percussion
Trained in theater at the National Ensemble of Yaoundé in Cameroon and thanks to numerous internships and cultural meetings
