Almeno un'altra vita
Beppe De Francesco is definitely the kind of artist who doesn’t want to get stuck in the usual genre definitions and pre-conceived notions of what it means to make a certain type of music. As a result, his style has no boundaries, and explores an incredibly diverse range. His most recent studio single, “Almeno Un'Altra Vita”, feels like a great introduction to his vision, and a great example of what I am talking about. The track has a really warm, electronic-inspired sound, which takes me back to the 80s, but still approaches music with a modern sensibility. Producer Marco Giorgi really nailed it here, further solidifying the stylistic concept of the track and helping Beppe unleash a great performance. The lyrics have a nostalgic flair to it, which really suits the vibe of the song and the retro-inspired synth melodies. Fans of artists such as David Bowie, Depeche Mode, and Soft Cell are definitely going to connect with Beppe De Francesco’s flow, and his ability to bring some interest and intention to his music on a deeper level. The track also features some outstanding guitar parts from Simone Oliva, as well as background vocals by the talented Francesca Radoicovich. Her soothing and melodic vocal parts provide a nice contrast with Beppe’s vocals, adding an interesting element to the mix while bringing more variety to the sound.
Ultimately, what makes this release special is most definitely the fact that so much talent went into the making of this song. Each and every single person included in this release managed to bring his or her top game to the table, and the result is absolutely world-class.
As they say, a piece of music is only as strong as the sum of its parts. In this particular case, each part is quite amazing, so the final mix is unsurprisingly amazing. With bittersweet lyrics in Italian, Beppe also managed to add an emotional layer to this song, making it catchy, but also deeper and easier to relate to for people of all walks of life.
