Come on Home
At four in the morning, everyone was still drinking and sharing stories indoors. Junky and Kubin, caught up in the moment, picked up their guitars and improvised the catchy "dudu" melody for the chorus.
Kubin hadn't returned to his hometown, Baiyin, in a long time, and years of pent-up emotions poured out, allowing the lyrics to be completed within an hour. When performing this song live during their 2020 tour, the band hadn't yet settled on a title, so they affectionately referred to it as "Dudu."
This is a folk song in the Dorian mode—melancholic yet bright, sorrowful yet solemn. With its desolate vocals, deeply moving melody, subtly Reggae-infused guitar rhythms, captivating bass lines, and ethereal harmonies, the song vividly captures the complex emotions of a wanderer longing for home.
